Marlborough Business Association (excerpt from brochure)
Welcome to Marlborough! A look back into Marlborough’s history shows that our earliest commerce began by providing shelter and refreshment to weary travelers along the Path to Monhege between the Thames and Connecticut Rivers. In the 1900s, textile mills flourished for several decades then disappeared, leaving little evidence of their role in our history. Today, Marlborough has over 200 local businesses providing banking, finance, real estate, legal needs, web design, home improvement, beauty, health and fitness, dining, retail, and much, much more. In addition, we pride ourselves on the many medical facilities that include an emergency room, walk-in clinics, and a long term care and rehabilitation facility.
About the MBA The Marlborough Business Association is a non-profit organization that supports its members by providing educational, networking and promotional opportunities aimed at enhancing individual business success while investing in the overall well-being of our community.
Working Together The MBA builds on the success of our town by actively supporting the community efforts of youth, seniors, and many local, non-profit organizations. In addition, we take pride in our scholarship program, which benefits a Marlborough high school student planning to pursue a business education in college. |
