Dating back to his days as a columnist and editor for his college newspaper, Mark Dursin knew his career would involve his passion for writing.  He was right: Mark has written everything from promotional brochures, to educational curricula, to non-fiction articles (for publications such as the Hartford Courant and ESPN.com).  He is most proud, however, of his experiences helping others with their writing.  Since 1995, he has taught composition and literature courses, at the high school and college levels.  For four years, Mark worked as a writing instructor at Boston College; in this capacity, he taught a wide variety of assignments (including researched essays, personal narratives, literary analyses, and persuasive arguments) and met with students weekly in individual conferences to discuss their works-in-progress. Realizing that he could better serve students by reaching them at younger ages, he became a secondary school teacher in 2000; currently, he teaches English at Glastonbury High School in Glastonbury, Connecticut.   In addition to these experiences, he has also, during the course of his career, taught business communication courses to adult learners; created and maintained web pages; delivered conference papers on student writing; and assisted with the writing, researching, and editing of government proposals.  Mark received his Bachelor of Arts in English from the College of the Holy Cross, his Master of Arts in English from Boston College, and his Secondary Education Certification from Central Connecticut State University.
